Hello all Odyssey students, family and coummuity members. I am Mr.Markle and I am the Principal for 3rd through 8th grade. Born James Robert Markle, I go by Bobby because I am nicknamed after my uncle. I was born in Dallas and lived there until I was 2. I moved to Tyler, Texas where I lived until I graduated high school. Through those years I was an active child in sports, Boy Scouts (Eagle Scout), church functions, etc. Also, when I was in high school, I meet my now wife in theater arts class. We would thumb wrestle to get each others attention until we finally paired up to do a Romeo and Juliet skit. We stayed together 8 years and have been married 5. We moved to Galveston 5 years ago where I have a job as 3rd through 8th Principal at Odyssey Academy. My wife is currently a 2nd year resident in Dermatology for UTMB. We went to Italy in June and love just hanging out at the beach, socializing and just living our lives. We have two “children” Charlie and Toby. Both are white, 7 pounds and fury.
