All About Me!
Hi! My name is Becky Snyder. I work with students and teachers on technology use as well as run the Resource Center. This is my 25th year in education. I started my career at Escambia High School (high school of Emmitt Smith, newly inducted NFL Hall of Famer) in Pensacola, Florida. I have also worked in Texas City ISD, Deer Park ISD, and Alvin ISD. I have taught high school English, public speaking, and debate. I have also been a high school and a junior high librarian.
I hold Texas teaching certificates in Technology Applications (EC-12), All Level Learning Resources Specialist, English (6-12) and Speech (6-12).
This is our second year in our beautiful Resource Center. We have been adding about 100 books to the collection each week. We have doubled our post Ike collection size and are working to improve our resources for our students. All Kinder-4th grade students visit the resource center once a week for 45 minutes. Fifth to 8th visit every week for about 20 minutes. Students who have no overdues are allowed to check out three books. All others may have two books. PK4 comes once a week for story time.
This is a silly survey that I am using to test out the form application on Google Apps. Feel free to take the survey. : )
