About Mr. Galla
Mr. Galla 5th/6th Science Teacher
Hey everybody. I am Mr. Galla and I am Odyssey Academy’s new 5th/6th grade Science teacher. I was born and raised in Houston, TX. My parents still live in the house I grew up in, with their two Labrador retrievers, Austin and Soleil. My whole life I have played baseball and during my freshman year of college I played baseball for Sam Houston State University. After my first year I transferred to the University of Saint Thomas in downtown Houston where I graduated in 2007 with a degree in Liberal Arts. After I graduated, I had the opportunity to go to France and stay with my Aunt and Uncle for one full year. It was there that I met my fiancé, Mathilde!!! It was also during that year that Mathilde obtained her PhD and I had found my calling as a teacher. Mathilde was able to find a job in Galveston at UTMB, and I was able to find a job with Odyssey as a guest teacher. During my year at Odyssey I obtained my certification to teach and was very grateful when Odyssey asked me to return for the 2010/2011 school year as their 5th/6th grade science teacher. I am very enthusiastic and I look forward to a very exciting and eventful year. Please check the webpage frequently for updates and changes.
