Current Week:

Greetings  Odyssey Family, We are enjoying another week here at Odyssey. It is now getting down to the wire. Please encourage your child to complete and turn in all assigments. It is also very important that your child attend school everyday. There attendance may in some cases have an effect on their classroom grade. This week in Social Studies we will be learning all about inventions and important inventers in history. The students will be creating a scientific inventions book with a partner.  REMINDER: The Celebrating Our Leaders Project was due Monday May 23rd. Please make sure your child completed this project.

  • May 16th – 4th Grade Field Trip to The Battleship Texas, Ferry, and San Jacinto Monument
  • May 17th and 18th – 5th and 8th grade Math and Reading TAKS Retest Opportunity
  • May 19th – 8th Grade College Trip
  • May 20th – All Odyssey Library Books are Due; Kindergarten Field Trip to the Houston Children’s Museum
  • May 23rd – 4th Grade Social Studies Celebrating Our Leaders Project is due.
  • May 23rd – June 2nd – Spring Book Fair
  • May 26th – 8th Grade Graduation at Moody Methodist
  • May 30th – Make-up day for bad weather day we missed in February – this day is no longer a student nor staff holiday.  All students are expected to attend school.  Final exams will take place on this day.
  • May 30th – Perfect Attendance Day – your class can win a prize for everyone attending school!
  • May 30 and 31st – Final Exams/Cumulative Assessments
  • June 1st – Award Ceremonies; “Dress to Impress”; PK and Kinder Report Cards will be sent home
  • June 2nd – Last day of school; Beach Day; Early Release at 12pm
  • June 6th – Summer Breakfast and Lunch Program Begins
  • June 8th – Final report cards will be available for pick up at front desk along with School Supplies Information, 2011-2012 School Calendar, and Back to School Night information.
