ELAR Grading Policy 7th & 8th

40% Daily & 60% Test

Daily Grades include a minimum of:

• · 7 homework assignments
• · 7 Daily 5 Participation grades (fluency, reading, writing, word work)
• · 7 weekly literature response & analysis grades
• · 7 weekly rough drafts
• · 3 published drafts of writing (utilizing new skills)

Test Grades include

• · 3 test grades from comprehensive exams
• · 3 test grades from published drafts
• STAR Test each 9 weeks
