Behavior: Your classmates and I expect you to follow the Guidelines for Success. This helps our class run efficiently and smoothly.  We begin each day on green.  Remaining on green means a student is following all of the rules. A student who is going above and beyond may move up to purple. 

There are a variety of rewards for students who are consistently on green or purple.  Some rewards are a visit to the treasure box, free time, Fabulous Friday, and Starbucks.

 Failure to follow procedures will result in:

1^st offense Warning

2^nd offense Clip change to YELLOW = loss of 5 minutes recess time or special activity.

3^rd offense Clip change to RED= loss of entire recess/special activity and call or reflection log sent to parent.

*You will always have the opportunity to move your clip back up if you get it together and are following the guidelines. 

A severe offense may result in an office referral.

 Folders: You are responsible for turning in your folder daily. Your folder contains important information for your family, your homework schedule, behavior chart and reading log.  Please return items on the “return” side and keep the keep items on the “keep” side.

 Breakfast: Breakfast is from 7:50-8:00 am. We start our journal activity at 7:30. It is imperative that you arrive in a timely manner to have breakfast and prepare for class.

 Class jobs: Everyone has a class job that is essential to our room running smoothly. It is very important that we work as a team to complete these tasks.  Failure to do so may result in job privileges lost.

Hand Signals: We use hand signals for signaling, restroom, and for answering/asking questions.

Quiet= Give me 5

Restroom= Crossed fingers

Questions= Normal hand raising (full palm open)

Pencil= Index finger

Attendance: Those with weekly perfect attendance (M-Th) will get be able to wear jeans and their Odyssey Academy spirit shirt that Friday.

 Restroom/Water: Use your restroom hand signal and if it is an appropriate time you many go.  If it is an emergency please let me know!

 Line: When we walk in line we are calm, quiet, have our hands behind our back and our facings looking forward.  We will walk with “Bubbles and Bunny Tails.”

 Homework: Homework is due Friday morning. You can turn it into the bin on my desk.  If you turn in your homework on Friday you can take your shoes off that day.
