On Tuesday, January 10th, a cookie dough fundraiser packet will be sent home. Please sell and collect money as you sell the cookie dough. The fundraiser will end on January 23rd. There are really cool prizes for your child to win for selling the cookie dough. Thank you for your support.
Happy New Year! It is hard to believe that we are about to enter the second semester of the school year. I hope that each of you had a restful break.
Our winter bookfair will be December 1-15. Please be sure to add sales tax when sending money with your child. If
you would like to shop with your student, the bookfair will be open Friday,
December 9th from 6-9 PM, Saturday, December 10th from 9-noon and Tuesday,
December 13th from 3:00-5:00. It will also be open before and after the
schoolwide spelling bee on the 14th. Please consider donating a book to your
child’s classroom or the school Resource Center. Check the Giving Tree in the
bookfair for items that we are wishing for this holiday season. Thanks for

On December 15th – We will have our Holiday Family Luncheon. Please make plans to attend. The pre-k3 classes will be singing 3 songs after lunch. We will eat lunch at 10:30 then perform at 11:00.
December 16th – we will dismiss classes at noon. On this day we will also have our Winter Party. I am asking for $3.00 per child for the party. I will purchase the food and party supplies with the money.
December 19th – January 2nd – Winter Holiday
The next two months are going to fly by extremely quickly. Odyssey Academy is having a food drive for families in our community. We are collecting can goods, rice, beans, or gift cards. Thank you in advance for your generosity.
Monday – wear red.
Tuesday – wear pajamas with regular school shoes — NO slippers.
Wednesday – wear silly socks.
Thursday – wear sunglasses.
Friday – wear the pumpkin shirt that we are making in class. I will change your child’s shirt in class.
Monday, October 31st – regular dress code day – No halloween costumes or parties.
October 19th – Field trip to the Moody Methodist Church’s Pumpkin Patch. I must have a signed permission slip in order for your child to participate.
Please send in a solid white t-shirt or $3.00 for me to purchase a shirt for your child. Thank you to the parents who have already turned in the shirt or money.
Red Ribbon Week is October 24th — I will send home a modified list of activities for my classes.
October is a very busy month. The following is list of events:

October 13th – Firetruck visit.
October 19th – Field trip to Moody Methodist Church Pumpkin Patch. Please be sure that you have returned the signed permission slip and $1.00 to purchase a small pumpkin.
Please be sure and bring a solid white t-shirt or $3.00 for us to decorate with pumpkins.
I can not believe that it is already October!! We have our first field trip is scheduled on October 19th. We are going to a pumpkin patch at Moody Methodist Church. I will send home more information next week.
Thank you for turning in your child’s family tree. The trees are wonderful. Thank you for taking the time to complete this project. I have them hanging up in my classroom.
